Welcome

Rushton Village WI meets in the Village Hall in the beautifully picturesque village of Rushton, situated in the centre of a triangle formed by the small market town of Rothwell, Corby and Kettering.

Pipewell & Rushton WI was originally formed in 1922 to help the then owners of Rushton Hall with their garden party. It was closed in 1926 and re-opened in 1930 and has been active ever since. Historically meetings were held in Pipewell and Rushton in alternate months with members from each village hosting the meetings.

Meetings were held in the Parish Rooms in Rushton for many years after the WI stopped meeting in Pipewell and then transferred to the Village Hall in 2013 after the demise of the Parish Rooms.

In 2017 a vote was taken amongst members to change the name of the WI to Rushton Village to reflect our identity.

Meetings are held on the second Wednesday of the month at 7.15pm and you will be sure of a warm welcome. We also have a craft group who meet on the 4th Wednesday of the month, in the Village Hall at 7.15 pm. There is a charge of £2.00 for the craft group to cover expenses but this is open to non WI members and includes tea/coffee.
