About Us

Welcome to the Northampton Martinis WI

Who are we?

The Martinis began in December 2014, in the back room of Revolutions Bar in the town centre. We wanted to create a WI for the young and young-at heart within Northamptonshire. We had our first ever meeting, the members voted, and the Martinis were officially formed.

Want a place to meet new friends, learn new skills, network, try new things, and be part of the future of the largest women's network in the country? Come and give us a try!

Who can join?

Any female or anyone identifying as a female over 18 years of age. We welcome ladies of all ages, from all backgrounds, from all over Northants and nearby.

Come along to a meeting (first visit is free) and see what you think.

What do we offer?

As with all WIs, with your membership you're guaranteed 11 meetings a year. We meet once a month at the Old White Hart Inn, with a variety of speakers and topics, but always cake, good company and the chance to buy a glass of wine..

As well as our monthly meetings, we put on workshops, fundraisers and socials throughout the year. You can also join our committee to play a part in making sure the WI runs as it should. We also offer sub-groups, like Pudding Clubs, Craft Group, etc. - there are options for everyone and you can always start another sub-group if there is something else you fancy doing.

We aim for everything we do to be member-led. We're an open-minded group and we love for members to really get involved and take the WI in new directions. As a fairly new WI ourselves, we're still forming our own identity. If that sounds like something you'd like to be part of, we'd love to have you.

Where can we be found?
