Wig making
Lucy Swales

Lucy entertained us last year with her account of wax figure making at Madame Tussaud’s. We have invited her to return to talk to us about Wig Making and apparently this promises to be a ‘hands on’ experience for those of us who wish to participate.

Unfortunately on the day of the meeting, Lucy tested positive for Covid so she had to postpone her meeting with us. We hope to re book her for later in the year.

The ever resouceful committee put their heads together and decided to engage our members in some craft work which had been planned for May - preparations for the Jubilee celebrations in the Village Hall.

Katie had already bought the red, white and blue wool for making pompoms so she brought that and Paula prepared 50 sheets of tissue paper into squares, circles and rectangles, suitable for making Tissue paper flowers in red, white, blue, gold and silver. Members set to work after the business was concluded and a box of 4 different flowers was produced and a range of pompoms so a very productive evening.
