Bert's knowledge includes a vast wealth of information and diaries from the Land Army Girls and Timber Jills. With a variety of information and objects, Bert provides an interesting presentation. Those of you who attended his talk last April will know that he has plenty of knowledge to share.
Please come along and bring your husbands, friends, relatives, neighbours for an interesting evening out just before Easter. £4 for visitors to include refreshments.
Review of the evening
It was agreed that Bert puts on a good show and everyone had an enjoyable evening. He has collected a lot of artefacts over the years and has his own museum to house it all. He provided authentic costumes and instructions for his 5 volunteers and proceeded to interview them in role with an incredible amount of information, including some jokes and anecdotes. There was much laughter in the room.
A raffle was held during the evening when 6 seasonal prizes were won. Delicious refreshments of Easter nests, cup cakes and chocolate biscuits were served during the social time.
