Life as an Artist - Demo & Talk by Michael Peachey
Michael is a local professional artist with an interesting life story to tell. Fine Art, Murals, Oils, all play a part in Michael's art. With the emphasis on entertainment, Michael provides interesting talks of his life as an artist.
He will give a demonstration of his interest with no doubt some audience participation.
Review of the Evening
Michael was made redundant 13 years ago and since then has taken on roles as an Art Therapist at Danetree hospital, Art teacher at Headway and Cynthia Spencer Hospice.
Michael amused us with stories whilst producing a landscape painting of cornfields alongside a country lane. He asked for audience participation but there was only only brave member who took part. She had the 'honour' of putting a dab of paint on his shirt adding to the colours of the rainbow already on it!
He had several albums of his work to show us and framed pictures of famous people he had copied from photographs, - Coronation Street characters, Sid James, Len Goodman, Duchess of Cambridge, to name a few. He also paints live models and transforms pictures into fantasy proving himself to be extremely versatile.
Competition: Colours of the Rainbow
Because we no longer have a competition, members brought pictures and a poem about colours of the rainbow to display.
