Review of the Evening
As the evening was an Open one to include husbands and friends, members were sent or were given a copy of notifications, prior to the meeting.
The 41 items were set out on tables and we were given 45 minutes or so to peruse, guess and write down, in the form of a quiz, our thoughts on what they might be. None were particularly obvious so we had a good laugh trying to work out what they could possibly have been used for.

After the time had elapsed we had refreshments which included delightful cup cakes baked by volunteers. The raffle numbers were drawn and 6 lucky winners took home some delightful prizes.
Raffle Prizes
Bert and his assistant, Gabrielle, an Italian student on work experience, then told us the uses of the various artefacts which ranged from scythe sharpeners, a cucumber straightener, racing pigeon clock, gadgets for every conceivable job on a farm, workshop, garden or even a kitchen. Winners of the quiz were Jane Treharne and Kathryn Hayward.
