North Cheshire in October 2026 Federation Holiday

We stayed at the Mercure Haydock Hotel  for our four day holiday in North Cheshire.
During our stay, we visited the NT Quarry Bank Mill, The Hat works at Stockport, the RHS Garden Bridgewater, Chester plus a boat trip on the River Dee and finally Port Sunlight.

Here we are at the start of our holiday!

No trip would be the same without drinking our health!

Fabulous day out here in Cheshire! This morning, we went to the excellent Hat Museum in Stockport and of course we had to try a few hats on!

The WI Holiday continued with a visit to RHS Bridgewater where we explored the new Chinese Garden.

We spent a day in Chester

..  and visited Port Sunlight before we travelled home on our last day.

We all agreed that we had a great time in Cheshire. Thank you Ann Thorington for organising the holiday on behalf of NCFWI and Lisa and Dean for taking us to such interesting places.
