Annual Meeting with crafts to follow for Remembrance Day.

Poppy Wreath

We plan to make a wreath, which can be used in future years, from weather proof material. Margaret will create a template to cut out the poppies. They will be fixed into shape with glue guns. Margaret has kindly offered to host a workshop but we need glue guns and volunteers.

Our President, Brenda, led the well-attended meeting.

Firstly, we went through the normal WI business, then we moved on to the Annual Meeting. Hopefully the pandemic and lockdowns are behind us and members joined in a lively discussion on speakers, activities, trips and other subjects were discussed for the future programme.

The committee had provided plentiful and tasty refreshments which were enjoyed by all. The discussions and ideas meant the meeting went on much longer than usual - leaving no time to work on the Poppy Wreath (this may be worked on by a sub committee). We were also too busy enjoying ourselves to take any photos!
