Christmas Celebrations

Traditionally we meet up with Blisworth WI for our Christmas Celebrations. This year, we will be inviting Blisworth WI to us. Looking forward to it.

We had a super evening in the company of Blisworth WI members who provided a delicious and ample buffet prepared by Blisworth members. Two husbands served drinks of various kinds throughout the evening.

Each table had a festive decoration. The 7 smaller table decorations were raffled and the larger ones later delivered to Paula, Margaret who is isolating with covid, and Brenda Binks.

We worked on a quiz and Jaqui showed some paper trees which she had prepared from old paperbacks using about 100 page sections. She demonstrated the folding techniques and everyone industriously folded their pages while chatting and listening to Christmas music. Lucy and Jaqui had folded intricate paper stars as decoration for the tops of the trees.

Blisworth WI collects food items for the Trussell Trust at Christmas. Members from both WIs donated this year.

Thanks to the Presidents and Committees of both WIs who worked so hard to make this a successful evening.

The Blisworth President thanked Milton Malsor and Collingtree for our hospitality and Brenda thanked everyone who had prepared the hall and brought food, drink, decorations and craft items. It was a pleasure to be together again in a full hall.

We all agreed "let's do it again next  year".
