2020 Other Activities

December 2020

WI Committee gave a goody bag to each member before Christmas to say thank you for remaining loyal to the group throughout the last year. Three members packed the bags before the rest of the committee delivered them.

Items included were a Christmas cake, 2 mince pies, 2 packs of biscuits, hand cream, chocolates, a tree decoration, a quiz and the WI booklet. All were delighted to receive their gift. The gift card was made using a photo from last year when our WI had a display in the local church depicting The Holly and the Ivy.

Christmas Gift

Wednesday September 9th 2020

At last we managed to have a face to face get together with members. A reasonably warm evening, -  sadly the sun had started to set, but 16 members gathered at a safe distance on the Village Green in Milton Malsor, to finally have a catch up after months of not being able to all meet together. Chairs were set out in basically a large circle and some members walked around to talk to small groups. We stayed about an hour, as by this time the temperature was dropping and the light was fading. The evening was deemed to be a success.

Sadly this may well be the last time we meet for a while due to the Government's new directive of only groups of 6 meeting together. It certainly put our proposed Annual Meeting plans on to plan B!
