Christmas Tree Exhibition - November 27/28th 2021

Holy Cross Church, Milton Malsor

Each organisation in the village had been asked to exhibit a tree in the church, plus add a little something to a Village Hall tree, as users of the faciliity. WI Committee members spent time on Thursday afternoon dressing the tree with home made items, depicting our theme  - 'Handmade with Love'. Margaret de Banke made all the large purple and green hearts at the bottom of the tree, plus the topper. She also made the card for the Village Hall tree, depicting the centre of our WI banner.
Despite the poor weather over the weekend, a steady stream of visitors went to the church and admired the trees, enjoying refreshments and stocking up on small gifts.

The photos show our tree being dressed by Paula, Lucy and Sheila, plus details and the finished article with Margaret.
Other photos are a selection of other trees in the exhibition.

June 14th

On Monday June 14th from 7.00pm, 14 members gathered on the Green with chairs, rugs and their own refreshments for a friendly chat and catch up.
It is a simple way to keep in touch - no planning required,  just watch the weather forecast and put the word out. We hope to repeat this occasionally on other warm evenings this summer , maybe using different locations in the village.

Easter Bags

Our members, on the whole, have been very good at adapting to using Zoom instead of our monthly actual get togethers. We have had several meetings in the last 2/3 months on a variety of subjects, details of which can be found on the Programme page.

For those members for whatever reason, are unable to access Zoom, we decided to send them a special Easter gift to make them feel included.

The photo shows a spotty bag which will hold the pot of daffodils, some chocolate nests, a crocheted chick in a hessian bag and a topical gift card,. The latter three all hand made by committee members.

We hope that everyone enjoys a Happy Easter and look forward to meeting up with you all before long.
