'Country superstitions' – Dusty Roades
We look forward to hearing some of the country tales and superstitions supplied by Dusty on this evening.
Review of the evening
Dusty didn't have any notes with him but said he was going to keep on track by using the alphabet to help him tell a few tales. We spent an amused half hour or so listening to his fascinating array of tales, some that we knew, some new to us but all told with
a wry humour. He was very entertaining and we would recommend him to other WIs if they are looking for an evening of nostalgia.
Competition:
Country charm
This was interpreted in several ways with the
winner being
a painting of a woodland creature, second, a
selection
of 4 leafed clovers and third, a sketch of a member's childhood home in rural Yorkshire.
