Resolutions
Every year we are given a Resolution (sometimes more than one) to discuss and vote on as a campaign for the National Federation to work on and pursue on our behalf and also with our help in some cases.
The Resolution for this year will appear here as soon as it is known.
"The NFWI notes that 3 people die every year whilst waiting for an organ transplant. We call upon every member of the WI to make their wishes regarding organ donation known and to encourage their families and friends and members of their local communities to do likewise"
There will not be a competition this month as we are hoping that all members will bring along craft items to share with everyone. We hope to have a wide variety of different crafts to share and perhaps interest members to take up a hobby that they hadn't thought of. Embroidery, knitting, crochet, baking, cooking, cake decorating, painting, pottery, card making, lace making, scrapbooking ............ the ideas are endless.
The Resolution is a very personal and emotive subject which we agreed was a difficult one for a Resolution. We were given several statements and information from publications to think about and several members spoke about their feelings on the subject. The voting took place and the results sent to the appropriate place.
A few members brought some wonderful craft items to display as you will see in the photographs. A competition to guess who the Baby photos were from our members was enjoyed and a supper brought by everyone to share.
